Bruce Deel – City of Refuge

Bruce Deel is the Executive Director of City of Refuge in one of the worst areas in the City of Atlanta. When he was sent to a church in the area his assignment was to shut the doors of the struggling church. Meet Joe Smith – an ordinary guy with an extraordinary mission. Joe Smith is a contractor by trade but his heart beats for disadvantaged children. After visiting the inner city with his daughter and a couple of mission trips he now ministers to at risk kids at an apartment complex just 3 miles from the church that he attends in Jacksonville, FL. He is in his third year of ministry where in his spare time he spends 3 to 4 nights a week with the kids and their parents at Leigh Meadows Apartments.  He is making a tremendous impact and he is an excellent example of someone who is putting their faith in action. 

John Williamson – Food Rescue

John Williamson started Food Rescue in response to an article that he read in his local newspaper about how people in his city were “dumpster diving” because they were hungry. Mark Cerbone and his wife Diann not only started and run an after school ministry in Buffalo, NY called Peace Of The City but they choose to live with those they minister to. Dick Rottiers – Flint Outreach Center

Dick Rottiers started Flint Outreach Center in the Heart of Flint, MI.  They now feed 10,000 to 15,000 people a month at three different food distribution centers.
