To inspire, empower and mobilize people to put their faith in action.
Our logo has a dual meaning. The outer arrows represent the crown of thorns that Jesus Christ wore for us and the passion and love He has for us. The arrows and their circular movement also represent people discovering their passion and then using that passion to serve others. Just as the arrows are in a never ending circle, so our service should be on-going and continuous in order to transform people’s lives and the communities in which we live.
What we do:
Foundations of our Ministry:
We believe God has an affinity for the poor.
“Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?” James 2:5
We believe God has promised His special blessing on those more fortunate who seek and serve the poor.
“If there is a poor man among your brothers … do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded and freely lend him whatever he needs. Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.” Deuteronomy 15:7-8,10
“Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.” Psalm 41:1
“He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done.” Proverbs 19:17
We believe all service should stem out of a passion and love for Jesus Christ and that we are to love Him with everything we have.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and will all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37
We believe that out of a growing, vital relationship with Jesus and as His follower, we will want to emulate His life and pour His love out to those around us.
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39
“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.” James 2:14-18
We believe God uses average, ordinary, broken people.
“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Psalm 51:17
We believe we are to live our lives with an eternal perspective, knowing that what we do in this life will affect our lives in eternity.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in a steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.”Matthew 6:19-20
“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.” Matthew 19:29
